Characteristics

The Aquitaine is
large region on the south-coast
of the Atlantic Ocean.
The name 'Aquitaine' comes from the days of the Roman Empire.
It has five
departments:
Dordogne,
Lot-et-Garonne, Gironde,
Les
Landes and Les Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
Each department has an own unique identity.

Dordogne.
A
green, hilly, sometimes rough country,
with early-mediaeval villages and cities.
It offers the visitor a variety of landscapes with mountains, rocks, rivers
and beautiful old villages,
so that everyone can find what he or she needs in order to fully enjoy
their stay in the Dordogne.
